How to use “Spatial Over Sampling” in JWildfire

One of the problems with solid renders is that you can get a noisy render: A render where you can get a lot of missing pixels. Sometimes it is a matter of adjusting weights, Xao’s or a gradient to fix the issue. Other times it is a case of just adding a small amount of blur or noise. In this case I had to use all of these methods plus the use of the Anti Aliasing tab.

I normally render 800 x 600 resolution with a 400 to 600 quality for Facebook. This render was one of those renders that drove me nuts. All 4 corners would not render out to my satisfaction. There were a lot of pixels not rendering in the 4 corners.

So this render was done some time ago using my usual default settings of 800 x 600 resolution 200 quality. Most renders look fine at a 200 to 600 quality for face book. So I am going to explain my process  using the “Spatial Over Sampling” on the Anti Aliasing tab.

#1 You will notice at 200 quality the missing pixels on all 4 corners. So I decided to try a few things. I was going to play with weights; but I decided to try the spatial over sampling feature first, I may be wrong, but my understanding is that this has the ability spread the pixel to fill the areas that are weak,  #1. (Blue arrow – Make note of the default settings and the current render quality. We will be changing these settings soon.
