Fractal Flames Community and Resources
Think of tags as like a book index where you find words and which pages they are on, the same principle applies here. Although it's taken a stage further so it might not be the word, but the subject, so for example if you're looking for things to do with fractal gradients for example. A tag may bring back posts with gradient files, as well as posts that discuss gradients, or tutorials about them.

It started off when I was looking at the glynnsim3 code trying to alter the shape when I realized a similar thing could be recreated using 2 or 3 xforms with linears and post_smartcrops. This setup, although more complicated, allows much more customization than just using a glynnsim3 on its own.
Script generating a log_db splits with sphericals. The sphericals can be replaced by subflames. … Details
Not much to say here except, I like starting with blur3d then adding a transform with a spherical followed by a split border in this case. Then a julia transform and a final hypertile to get everything repeated across the screen.
The glynnSim variations are a cross between linear and spherical. Using the unit circle as a dividing line, their output has three parts:
Outside the unit circle is whatever was there before (like linear),
Inside the unit circle is a reflection across the unit circle of what was outside the unit circle (like spherical), and
The points that were inside the unit circle are replaced with a blur:
This time, I swapped the spherical for a swirl3, didn’t look like much until I dragged its weight into the negative numbers. Started to get a textured (wool) like appearance?
Posted a flame as a starter that I did about a year ago, the idea to take the parameters, paste them into your JWildfire, and you can only change one variation. You can of course, alter other settings too, but one variation change only. Here’s another spherical added for more roundness.
My 3rd And Last Submission for the Black & White Maurer Lines Flame Game
This 1 is different as it does not show lines but a metallic looking bubble/ spherical shape..
So I called it – Metallic Shine..
The spherical variation reflects the plane across the unit circle (the circle with radius 1 centered at the origin). Mathematically, this is called “inversion in the unit circle”. This is illustrated with the following contrived example, which uses five transforms with svg_wf to create five purple creatures (the default svg_wf graphic) in various locations.
Using bSwirl again, good one this, you can spin it out or in. Then you add some spherical action, with a good old fashioned Juliac at the end. You can get some tunnel like effects with curves.
Electric sheep flame 244-52441 gave me the idea for this. As is customary, there is a lot of randomness.
